I am saving this video omg this is such a cool topic. It’s so cool to watch these history-making women succeed and beat the odds and prove they ARE THE BEST in front of the entire world. When so many mofos just see their sex and their race. There is nothing like a big applause in front of the entire EARTH to show the haters they’re wrong and absolute fools.

Ok the part where you said you feel more insecure about wearing baggier clothes with your natural hair is so relatable. I have locs and sometimes I get nervous about wearing baggier clothes b/c I think I won't be perceived as feminine. When I didn't wear locs/my natural hair I never had this fear. It sucks but it's something I'm working on.

FYI, gymnastics is looking beautifully Black, bc we can now afford to compete! This sport, like tennis and golf, was out of reach many years for African Americans, bc of cost. Now with progress financially, you are seeing many women of color competing. If given a level playing field, we will always prevail, bc that’s what we do😊

Please look up more information in regards to third places!! The theory DOES NOT hold up under scrutiny at all and the author was exclusively developing it in order to exclude women from male-only spaces. the youtube channel Radical Planning has an amazing video about it !!

As someone who loves watching the Olympics and sports in general. I find that all the regulations and rule changes were made so certain groups could not continue winning (I.e. Russia and Romania). Yet in doing so, it allowed for others more specifically athletes of color to come in and dominate the sport. Hence why people complain about artistic gymnastics not having enough artistic elements when the scoring now rewards difficult acrobatics and execution rather than artistic elements. Either find a way to allow both to happen or just continue with the scoring that has already been set up.

The only reason it hasn’t been dominated by BW today is because they didn’t financially have access to the sport in the past. Gymnastics coaches don’t work for free. I wouldn’t be surprised if the teams are majority BW within the next twenty years.

I've always found it so insane that Simone is labelled as not artistic, because her 2016 floor routine at the Rio olympics is, to me, a masterclass of artistry. I think it's worth noting too that Simone remaining so dominant at her practically geriatric (in the gymnastic world) age of 27 is redefining what the perfect gymnast looks like.

It always was a 'black' sport, like any other sport. The only difference was, 'blacks' were not allowed/permitted by the 'whites' or these was widespread bias against them. But with more liberation over time, the truth is starting to show.

Ok lets take a closer look at the statistics, this is not to offend anyone who chooses to date or marry inter-racially but is based solely on statistics and they are as follows >>>>> In the United States, approximately 96% of married Black women are married to Black men. On the other hand, about 20.1% of white women are married to Black men, while 9.4% of white women are married to Asian men . Interestingly, newlywed Black men are twice as likely as newlywed Black women to be intermarried, with 24% of Black men and 12% of Black women in interracial marriages. These figures highlight some of the trends in race and marriage, but keep in mind that individual experiences can vary significantly. More than a quarter of white men ( 72 %) are married to Asian women which is the largest of all interracial marriages world wide. Keep in mind that this isn't just based on the calculated numbers of White men and Asian women in the US at around 42 % of all interracial marriages. Additionally, Asian women are more likely to be living with white men than with Asian men, making cohabitation's even more prevalent. However, all this trending non since could turn any man off regardless of their race because it makes us feel like the women doing it are desperate and only making such videos to get back at their race of men.

Nice overview. I love gymnastics these days. Watching Liukin and Comaneci is painful, because of the anorexia. Good mention of the financial aspect. It's an expensive sport. Every time I hear people complain about a lack of dance, I say go watch ballet. I'd be happy if the women's floor routines were like the men's - no music, just skills.
